Tzu-Chi is a famous Buddhist charity organization based in Hualien City.

Day 1.4

Ah-Sen's Bike Rental was only about 15 minute walk from the train station.

Day 1.3

A warm and sunny day greeted us when we arrived at Hualien City.

Day 1.2

Then we took a taxi to Taipei Train Station.
We boarded the Taroko Express at 7:20 am and headed to Hualien City.

Day 1: April 1, 2011 Hualien City to So-Fong

We started the day with a hearty breakfast near Ester's house in San-Chong City.

Finally...

Yes,
after months of waiting,
this trip is getting close.
We are leaving Taipei on April 1st.
We are taking the train to Hualien.
From there, we will rent the bike and head down south.
We will take our time, hopefully in 5 days, reach Taitong.
